 Register Here\n\nThis 2-day, in-person training in Trauma-Focused Cognit
 ive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) with Dr. Daniel Garfinkel, Certified Tra
 iner in TF-CBT, is designed to equip you with the foundational knowledge
  required to effectively deliver TF-CBT with confidence, skill and fidel
 ity to the model. Registration also includes 12 group consultation calls
  (provided virtually, twice per month for six months through April 2027)
  and meets standards for certification in TF-CBT.\n\nTrauma Focused-Cogn
 itive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based therapy for child
 ren and adolescents who have experienced a traumatic event and struggle 
 with subsequent emotional and/or behavioral challenges. TF-CBT has under
 gone 25 + randomized trials and a number of quasi-experimental studies t
 o support the model’s effectiveness in helping children and families o
 vercome the impact of child abuse and trauma. The model is designed to t
 reat children and adolescents with an array of trauma histories, includi
 ng those who have experienced multiple and complex traumas. To learn mor

 r mental health professionals working with children and teens who have e
 xperienced trauma. It is an intermediate level course intended for thera
 pists with a minimum of a Master’s degree, or those who are enrolled i
 n a Master’s degree program and are providing mental health services u
 nder the supervision of a licensed professional.\n\nAttendees should hav
 e an active caseload appropriate for TF-CBT and be prepared to provide T
 F-CBT to clients following completion of the 2-day training. Supervisors
  and students are welcome to enroll in the training, but only clinicians
  providing TF-CBT to clients will participate in the post-training consu
 ltation calls.\n\nThe training will offer many opportunities to ask ques
 tions and gain experience learning how to implement each of the TF-CBT c
 omponents. With the training and consultation calls, you are gaining acc
 ess to a wealth of resources, including therapist materials, case illust
 rations and ongoing support, to enhance your learning experience.\n\nPre

 ertificate prior to the 2-day training.\n\nAbout the trainer:\nDr. Danie
 l Garfinkel is the Director of Mental Health Services at Treehouse Child
  and Youth Advocacy Centre. Dr. Garfinkel, a Registered Psychologist, is
  a fully certified TF-CBT therapist and is now the first certified TF-CB
 T trainer in Canada. He has practiced in the area of child and adolescen
 t trauma treatment for almost 20 years. Dr. Garfinkel has provided clini
 cal leadership and consultation in Child and Youth Advocacy Centres sinc
 e 2013, first in Calgary and now in Vancouver.
