This membership application is your first step in joining a collaborative community dedicated to being relentless champions for children and youth by raising awareness, increasing capacity and advancing sustainability. Please ensure this form is completed by the a member of your CYAC's senior leadership who is able to act on behalf of your organization. There will be opportunity to add additional team members to your profile later.

This form is for CYACs in the feasibility or early development stage and are not yet actively providing services and supports for children and youth.

This membership application is your first step in joining a collaborative community dedicated to being relentless champions for children and youth by raising awareness, increasing capacity and advancing sustainability.

Once your membership has been approved by the CYACC Board of Directors and you have paid your membership fee, you will be invited to provide additional information about your organization and your needs as part of a membership profile.  This profile will help us understand your organization’s structure and services and needs.

Eligibility Verification 

As per the CYACC Bylaws, Emerging Membership is open to CYACs that meet the following criteria. Please confirm your eligibility by checking each statement below. Membership is subject to approval by the CYACC Board of Directors. Once your membership has been approved by the CYACC Board of Directors, CYACC National Office will reach out to you


 A functional multi-disciplinary team that meets regularly for case review that includes police, child protection and victim services  
 A designated, child-friendly space for a collaborative interview process that includes planning between police, child protection and victim services personnel  
 A local agreement that outlines the service model of the CYAC response  
 Working in alignment with, and towards implementation of all, the Canadian Guidelines for Child and Youth Advocacy Centres.

Membership Fees

CYACC will pay your member fees for the 2025 year. Members who wish to continue their membership with CYACC in 2026 will be required to pay the following annual membership fees. Fees were determined through consultation with the National Network.

Our CYAC falls under the following development stage

Designation of Member Representative

Member CYACs must designate a Representative to act on their behalf for the membership including attending and voting at the annual general meeting.






Alternate Member Representative (Optional)

If the designated Representative cannot attend a meeting, your organization may assign an Alternate Representative.
