CYACC Launches as the National Voice for Child & Youth Advocacy Centres in Canada
posted on Oct 15, 2025

Child & Youth Advocacy Centres of Canada (CYACC) is proud to announce its official public launch as the national voice for Child & Youth Advocacy Centres (CYACs) across the country.

CYACC represents a united effort to ensure that every child and youth impacted by abuse can access high-quality, evidence-informed, and culturally safe supports. Through national coordination, standards, accreditation, and advocacy, CYACC strengthens the collective impact of the 40+ CYACs currently serving communities across Canada.

“CYACC represents a shift in how Canada responds to child abuse. By working together as a national movement, and speaking with one voice, Child and Youth Advocacy Centres across the country are striving to ensure that every child, no matter where they live, receives the consistent, compassionate support and care they deserve.  This collective effort strengthens Canada’s ability to protect children, promote healing, and build safer, healthier communities for generations to come.”

- Leah Zille, Co-Chair, Child & Youth Advocacy Centres of Canada

With more than 10,000 children, youth and their families benefiting from the services provided by CYACs each year, the efforts of CYACC members are bringing a tremendous value to the nation's most vulnerable people.

CYACC’s launch includes the unveiling of a new website, national branding, a membership drive, and advocacy initiatives to engage federal decision-makers.
