Advocating for Children and Youth Across Canada
At CYACC, advocacy is at the heart of what we do. We work to ensure that every child and youth who has experienced abuse or violence receives the compassionate, coordinated support they deserve - no matter where they live.
Through national partnerships, policy engagement, public awareness, and grassroots collaboration, CYACC amplifies the voices of Child and Youth Advocacy Centres (CYACs) and the communities they serve.
Our Advocacy Priorities
- Sustainable Funding
We advocate for long-term, stable funding to ensure CYACs can provide consistent, evidence-informed services across Canada. - Equity & Access
We work to ensure that all children and youth - particularly those in underserved, rural, remote, and Indigenous communities - have access to CYAC services. - Policy & Systems Change
CYACC engages with all levels of government to strengthen child protection policies, support cross-sector collaboration, and improve the systems that impact children and families. - Public Awareness
We raise national awareness about the role of CYACs and the importance of coordinated, child-centred responses to abuse and violence.
